Join us for a brief discussion and ritual to connect with our healthy ancestors. We’ll set sacred space and invite our healthy ancestors to join us. Please bring any ancestral items or representations to place on the altar for ritual. Also, please bring any offerings you would like to leave for the ancestors. Planting the Seed of Shamanism in the West

As a working shaman for the over 40 years, I know how difficult it can be to find yourself strangely aware of things that no one else is. Being Chosen by the spirits is difficult, regardless of the culture we are born into, but it helps if there is at least a basic understanding that spirits are real and that some of us are more directly engaged with the spirits. I am currently writing a book by this title, with the intention of providing more of a spiritual context for those in the West who find themselves in this predicament. This workshop will address some of the basic difficulties of becoming a shaman in a non-shamanic/non-animistic culture.

Sean will introduce the manifestation of energy, layers of the aura, and how to sense both. Energy exchange and manipulation of that energy will be done in a small group setting to illustrate how we can affect the world with emotion, color, and other forms. This class will also explore the magic we put out into the world, and attendees will be encouraged to have more day-to-day awareness of this as they move through the physical world.

Inspired by his first drum workshop facilitated by a master drummer of Nigeria, Babatunde Olatunji, to bring people of all walks of life together in the joy of making music.
