Pagan Sacred Music: Past, Present, and Future
Sunday February 23, 2025 11:00am - 12:30pm EST
Sharing music is an important part of building tradition and community. In this workshop we'll learn about and discuss the past (20th century) present, and future of music within the modern Pagan movement. We will discuss the roles that music plays in our practice and in our communities, and our hopes for how these traditions will continue to evolve. Come prepared to learn, discuss, listen, sing, meet new friends, and delve into some of the deeper questions about how music speaks to our spiritual selves. Those with instruments are encouraged to bring them. No musical experience necessary!

Can I really be a witch if I'm also a skeptic?
Sunday February 23, 2025 11:00am - 12:30pm EST
In exploring non-theistic Pagan practices, I have gained profound insights into how spirituality can be deeply meaningful without relying on traditional theistic frameworks. In this class I share my personal evolution which includes ways in which the non-theistic Pagan engages with the natural world, cycles of the Earth, and personal rituals to cultivate a sense of connection and purpose. These practices emphasize experimental and symbolic aspects of spirituality, focusing on the here and now. The diverse approaches within non-theistic Paganism, from secular humanism to nature-based philosophies, reveal a rich tapestry of practices that honor the sacredness of life and the universe. Come explore how one humble skeptic has learned to make meaning in her life. Resources will be shared.

Embodying the Sacred
Sunday February 23, 2025 11:00am - 12:30pm EST
Wiccans talk of “Drawing Down the Moon” and “Drawing Down the Sun” in their rituals, but how
is that connection made? And how can you learn to access that connection in everyday life?
Now, more than ever, we need the help of the Gods. But every living being is given free will, and
this makes it difficult for the Gods to affect our world unless we let them work through us, and let our
heads, hands, and/or hearts do their work (always with the option of saying “no”). The world of Magick
opens up as you learn how to let the Gods through, and how to see them in others in the everyday world.

Folklore and Animism in a Disenchanted World
Sunday February 23, 2025 11:00am - 12:30pm EST
The nineteenth and twentieth centuries saw an apparent triumph of materialism and a disenchantment of the average person's perceptions of the world. With that, folk knowledge and the spirits which were once recognized by the average person fade to obscurity or become the quaint stories and superstitions of the past. At least, this is what we've been told. Much of the world still believes in and experiences the uncanny. People relay Urban legends and create new folklore because they need to process those things which exist beneath the surface. In this class we will explore how the paranormal, the weird, the pop-cultural, and the creepy lore of the internet may tie in to the living and animistic reality of the world.

This course is intended to provide a basic foundation for people interested in beginning their exploration of the Poison Path. Nothing screams witchcraft more than a seething brew of poisonous plants. They are mysterious, seductive and in many cases psychoactive, but also potentially deadly. So why work with poisonous plants at all? These are some of the most interesting, terrifying and magical plants you will ever meet, and we will be looking at some of the most infamous. Attendees will learn the plant’s physical characteristics, magical correspondences, how they have been used historically and what their effects are.

Soul Retrieval in Asia; Death in Buddhism
Sunday February 23, 2025 11:00am - 12:30pm EST
Soul retrieval is a form of faith healing premised on the folk belief that imbalances in the mind or body are caused by fragmentation of the soul. Historically what we now identify as chronic physical conditions, anxiety or depressive disorders, mania, and SUDs, among other behavioral afflictions, were attributed to aspects of the soul wandering out of the body or fragmented by demons. A ritual to call the soul back home was seen as the cure. The discussion on soul retrieval practices in Asia will segue into death and dying per Buddhist mysticism, four categories of death, six realms of life, and how these beliefs tie into soul retrieval.

This workshop will explore the history of Rosicrucianism from its origins in radical Protestantism to its role in shaping the contemporary Pagan revival. An Open Channel - How Actor Warm-ups Improve Your Readings & Ritual

A great way to start the day - release the spine, free your voice, open up awareness that support clear readings. These practices are also, a great way to finish your day, shake off energies that are not yours, and come back to you.

I have been teaching and using these warm-ups for decades. They are an amalgamation of yoga, Linklater, Reclaiming Witchcraft, and Dell'Arte warm-ups. As the spine is the fiery center of ourselves, knowing how to open up - and close down - are a powerful magical tool you carry with you. Always.

Being "embodied" is quite the catch phrase these days. This is one way to get there.

Heathen Mouth Magic: Singing with Runes and Spirits
Sunday February 23, 2025 11:00am - 12:30pm EST
Magic in modern Heathenry takes a variety of forms, perhaps none more accessible than the ones that use our mouths and voices. Galdr, ljóð, kvæði, gerningar, varðlokkur, and frœði: songs, chants, incantations, poems, alliteration, and mumbling, which are just a few forms Heathen Mouth Magic can take. Sunday February 23, 2025 1:00pm - 2:30pm EST
Trickster deities are often misunderstood and maligned in Western culture. The title we have given them, "trickster," implies deceit and untrustworthiness. But in the scholarly study of mythology, tricksters often use deception and cunning to support the weak in their battles against the strong. Tricksters also use these methods to teach lessons that we would not learn except through personal experience, and to hold space to consider the profane sacred. Come and discuss your personal experiences with tricksters, and learn more about why they are essential to cosmic and cultural evolution and justice.

Sunday February 23, 2025 1:00pm - 2:30pm EST
Do you feel the potential energy in spiritual cleansing & purification? Perhaps you’ve dabbled in purification practices and want to go deeper. Perhaps you’ve never engaged in cleansing because you don’t know how or have avoided it because you don’t want to stray into cultural appropriation. Maybe you have a dedicated practice already and would like to cultivate a more specific practice personalized to evolving needs. All are welcome to this exploration of cleansing. We’ll discuss how to cleanse in a way that is authentic to you, how purification helps us reclaim our sovereignty, why folx of different genders may experience different needs, and how to approach purification without cultural appropriation.
