As a working shaman for the over 40 years, I know how difficult it can be to find yourself strangely aware of things that no one else is. Being Chosen by the spirits is difficult, regardless of the culture we are born into, but it helps if there is at least a basic understanding that spirits are real and that some of us are more directly engaged with the spirits. I am currently writing a book by this title, with the intention of providing more of a spiritual context for those in the West who find themselves in this predicament. This workshop will address some of the basic difficulties of becoming a shaman in a non-shamanic/non-animistic culture.
